It has only been a few days since iPhone 14 series went on sale but iPhone 15 rumors have already started surfacing. We heard initial reports related to a new device called iPhone 15 Ultra last week and now, we have fresh details. LeaksApplePro, a reliable tipster, has shared interesting details about Apple's plan for next-gen models.
The leak claims Apple will continue releasing four models in the lineup but is said to make a change to the naming scheme. The "Pro Max" will be replaced with "Ultra". It means we will see the iPhone 15 Ultra instead of the iPhone 15 Pro Max next year. The other three models will have the same naming scheme i.e. iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro.
All four iPhone 15 models are said to come with Dynamic Island and USB Type-C ports. It seems like Apple is finally ready to move on from its proprietary Lightning port. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will arrive with the A16 Bionic chip which has debuted on this year's iPhone 14 Pro models. Only iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra will get the new A17 Bionic processor.
The Ultra model is further said to have a few exclusive features that will make it the best device in the lineup. Apple is said to be working on 8K video recording but it is currently unclear whether it will also arrive on the iPhone 15 Pro. The team has set a goal of extending battery life by up to 3-4 hours on all models, especially the Ultra. Its pricing is expected to start around $1,199 but nothing is set in stone yet.
