Honor has launched a new flagship smartphone Honor X40 GT in China. It joins the X-series alongside the Honor X40 and Honor X40i that went official in the past few months. The phone comes with high-end specifications and features including a high refresh rate, a flagship chipset, and a bigger battery.
The Honor X40 GT sports a 6.81-inch Full HD+ (2388 x 1080 pixels) TFT LCD punch-hole display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with Adreno 660 GPU. It is available in 8GB and 12GB RAM options but a single 256GB storage. There is a virtual RAM feature that will utilize up to 7GB of storage space as RAM.
The phone has triple rear cameras featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.45 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It will boot Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Honor has priced the X40 GT at CNY 1,999 (about $278) for the 8GB/256GB variant and at CNY 2,299 (about $320) for the 12GB/256GB variant. It will be available in Midnight Black, Racing Black, and Titanium Empty Silver color options.
