Samsung's Galaxy M-series has primarily focused on delivering mid-range specifications and features at a price that is not too steep for most buyers. The Galaxy M53 5G arrived with MediaTek Dimensity 900 but a new leak suggests, things will change with the next release. It is tipped to have premium and high-end specifications.

The leak is related to the upcoming smartphone said to be called Galaxy M54. It is coming from the YouTube channel The Pixel which talked about expected specifications. The smartphone is reported to have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is relatively slower than the current-gen model which has a 120Hz refresh rate.

The biggest difference is that the phone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. There is no doubt it is about a couple of years old processor but it is a flagship processor nevertheless. It means we should expect a significant performance leap as compared to other phones in the series. There is said to be a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space.

In the camera department, the Galaxy M54 is tipped to have triple rear cameras featuring a 64-megapixel rear camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. The phone will have a 32-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies and attending video calls. It is unknown if there will be optical image stabilization available with the camera setup.

The whole package will have a 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. Other expected features are said to include a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and 5G connectivity. There are no words on the pricing but Galaxy M54 is expected to release later this year or early next year.
