Oppo has debuted a new A-series budget smartphone Oppo A17k in India. It is a slightly different variant of the Oppo A17 that went official globally last month. Its key highlights include a long-lasting battery, Extended RAM functionality, and water resistance. It is the pricing that makes it worth consideration for Oppo fans.
The Oppo A17k sports a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD (1612 x 720 pixels) notched display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Helio G35 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. You can get additional virtual RAM of up to 4GB by utilizing unused storage space. There is a single 64GB storage option with microSD card support.
The phone has an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. Yes, you do not get a multiple-camera setup with the smartphone. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It does not have fast charging technology which means it will take its sweet time to recharge. The phone will boot ColorOS 12.1.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. It also has IPX4 water resistance certification. The Oppo A17k is priced at INR 10,499 for the sole 3GB/32GB configuration. It will be sold in Gold and Navy Blue color options.
