Samsung has officially begun releasing One UI 5.0 Android 13 stable update for Galaxy S22 series. It is available for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra models regardless of the processor (Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon). The latest update was under beta testing for months and was announced just 10 days ago.
The update weighs about 2.8GB in size which makes it a hefty one. We would suggest you connect to a WiFi network before tapping that download button. It has the build number S908BXXU2BVJA and S908EXXU2BVJA for Exynos and Snapdragon variants respectively. The update also brings October 2022 Android security patch level which is the latest available one.
The rollout has begun around the world, specifically in European countries. It is a staged release which means some devices will receive it earlier than others. You can check for the update by visiting settings and then the software updates section. If it is not available right away, keep checking every now and then and it should become available anytime soon.
One UI 5.0 is based on the latest Android 13 which Google debuted in August. It is packed with all the major new features along with Samsung's own changes and features related to One UI. There is a lot of focus on the customization aspect where users can have a unique lock screen experience. They can even set up video wallpapers.
