Sony has revealed PlayStation VR2 will officially launch on February 22, 2023. The next-gen virtual reality headset from the company was first announced at the beginning of the year. The headset will be available in two different editions. Sony has also announced a new controller charging station that will launch on the same day as the headset.
The pre-orders for PlayStation VR2 will kick off on November 15th via the PlayStation Direct website. This is for users residing in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The PlayStation VR2 standard edition is priced at $549.99/€599.99/£529.99/ ¥74,980 depending on the region from where you will buy it. It will include the PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones. There is a special PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle that includes a voucher code for the Horizon Call of the Mountain game. It will cost you $599.99/€649.99/£569.99/ ¥79,980.
Horizon Call of the Mountain will also be sold separately with preorders starting this month itself. Sony is yet to reveal pricing details and the exact date. As for the PS VR2 Sense controller charging station, it will allow users to charge headset controllers without connecting to the PlayStation 5 console. Its recommended retail price is set at $49.99/€49.99/£39.99/¥5,480.
