Earlier this year, OnePlus introduced a new affordable mid-range smartphone lineup Ace in China. It started with the OnePlus Ace and followed it with the OnePlus Ace Pro a few months later. Both these phones were rebranded versions of existing OnePlus smartphones. It is now reported that the company is ready to launch the third smartphone in the series.
Yogesh Barar (@heyitsyogesh), a well-known tipster, has shared specification details of an upcoming phone called the OnePlus Ace 2. The phone is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The phone will have multiple configuration options up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
It is tipped to have triple rear cameras featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front camera is said to be a 16-megapixel sensor. The battery capacity is tipped to be 5,000mAh along with 100W fast charging support. The phone will boot ColoroS based on Android 13 out of the box. However, the report does not mention the estimated launch timeline and pricing details yet.
In other news, OnePlus is busy rolling out the latest Android 13 upgrade to eligible devices. It most recently released the update for the OnePlus 9 series. It is also reported to be working on a new Nord series smartphone named Nord N300 5G. We will keep you posted as more details will emerge.
