It was last week when OnePlus revealed the OnePlus 11 global launch plans which will take place on February 7th. It has now been confirmed that will not be the flagship's first release though. OnePlus has announced OnePlus 11 5G will make its first appearance at a launch event in China on January 4th. The announcement was made via the company's official Weibo account.
This is not surprising as we have seen Chinese OEMs first release new products in their home markets and then hold a separate global release event. OnePlus has also shared a few official teasers giving a hint of features to come. The flagship will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will be coupled with 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
OnePlus has separately shared a bunch of official OnePlus 11 product images. These images give us a good look at the upcoming flagship. The phone can be seen with a circular-shaped camera setup featuring three camera sensors. There is Hasselblad branding on the camera module. You can see the OnePlus logo in the center of the back panel.
The OnePlus 11 5G is shown in Black color with a matte finish and Green color with a glossy finish. There have been rumors suggesting we will see 100W fast charging support. OnePlus will also announce OnePlus Buds Pro 2 at the same event in China which will also get a global release in February.
