Xiaomi has officially debuted the new Redmi K60 series at a dedicated event in China. The lineup has three models Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60E. All three phones are packed with flagship specs but only the first two are powered by a Qualcomm chipset. The third one is packed with a MediaTek Dimensity processor.
The Redmi K60 Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED punch-hole display with 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution. The panel offers 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 12-bit color depth, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage.
There is a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX800 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The camera setup has OIS, EIS, improved object recognition with AI filters, and underlying photo processing improvements. It has a 16-megapixel front camera housed inside the punch-hole.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It is claimed to charge the phone 100% within just 19 minutes. The good thing is it also offers 30W wireless charging. It will boot MIUI 14 based on the latest Android 13. The phone will be sold in Green, Black, White, and Champion Performance Edition.
Xiaomi has priced the Redmi K60 Pro at CNY 3,299 (about $475) for the base 8GB/128GB model. The high-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost CNY 4,599 (about $660).
The Redmi K60 is pretty much similar to the Pro variant barring a few differences. The first major change is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The triple-camera setup has a 64-megapixel primary sensor but the other two cameras are unchanged. The battery capacity is bigger at 5,000mAh but the charging speed is relatively slower at 67W. The good thing is that 30W wireless charging is present here as well. The color options are Green, Blue Leather, Black with Carbon, and White.
The phone starts at CNY 2,499 (about $360) for the 8GB/128GB base model and goes up to CNY 3,599 (about $515) for the 16GB/512GB variant.
The Redmi K60E is another phone with K60 Pro similarities but few changes in the spec sheet. It is the only phone in the lineup with a MediaTek chipset which is Dimensity 8200. The display panel has 10-bit color depth and 1200 nits of brightness which is relatively lower than other models.
It has a 48-megapixel primary sensor but the other two cameras are the same as the Pro variant. Xiaomi has packed it with the same battery capacity and fast charging tech as the standard Redmi K60. The phone will be sold in White, Green, and Black colors. It will start at CNY 2,199 (about $315) for the base 8GB/128GB model.
