OnePlus has officially announced Buds Pro 2 at an event held in China. It is the same event where the company also announced its latest flagship OnePlus 11 5G. The new earbuds are direct successors to the OnePlus Buds Pro that arrived about two years ago. These are packed with improvements that make them worthy of an upgrade.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 features the same dual-tone design we saw on the predecessor. It also has the same matte finish charging case. All changes are on the inside that should improve the music listening experience. These buds come with an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter which should help them handle high and low frequencies without any distortions.
There is support for LHDC, AAC, SBC, and LC3 audio codecs. OnePlus has even partnered with Danish loudspeaker maker Dynaudio for tuning up the audio output on these buds. It has Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and improved active noise cancelation (ANC) for reduced outside noise. It is claimed to eliminate up to 48dB of noise from the outside.
It has a gaming mode during which latency drops to 54ms for a better gaming experience. There are touch gestures for quick controls like accepting phone calls and playing next/previous track. The buds are claimed to offer up to 39 hours of total playback on a single charge. These will be available in Green, White, and Black color options starting January 9th.
