It is finally official that Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on February 1st. The official announcement confirmed it will be the first in-person event in the last three years which could not happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue for the event is the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, United States.
The announcement post further confirms Samsung will launch the next-gen Galaxy S-series flagships at the event. The post said, "A new era of Galaxy innovation is coming. Our innovations are designed to enable incredible possibilities for people today and beyond. The new Galaxy S series will be the epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience. We’re raising the bar and setting new standards for what’s epic."
Samsung has also kicked off Galaxy S23 series pre-order reservations as it has done in the past. It is an opportunity for buyers to reserve their pre-orders and get rewarded in return. The company is offering a $50 Samsung store credit to those who will reserve the smartphone or the Galaxy Book. The store credit will be $100 for those who will reserve both devices. It should be noted this is a non-commitment reservation which means you can choose not to pre-order devices when they will be available for purchase. You will get store credit only when you complete the pre-order.
We have heard rumors that there will be three models: Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. It is tipped to be the first time Samsung will use a 200-megapixel camera which will be available on the Ultra. There will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor powering these new flagships.
