It has been a couple of weeks since the OnePlus 11 5G went official in China. It is currently the only country where you can get the latest OnePlus flagship. A global launch event is scheduled for February 7th that will take place in India. It will also become available in the United States but will arrive with a major change.
As per a couple of tipsters, the OnePlus 11 5G will come with only 80W SuperVOOC fast charging in the United States. This is relatively slower than 100W SuperVOOC fast charging speed available on the Chinese variant and global variant elsewhere in the world. It is true that 80W is not exactly slow charging especially when you see what many other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Apple iPhone 14 series offer.
OnePlus 11 5G will have 100W SuperVOOC for global, however the US version will have 80W SuperVOOC https://t.co/e6dGgFx2pM— Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) January 19, 2023
This is not the first time we are seeing a US-bound OnePlus smartphone coming with relatively slow charging speeds. We saw OnePlus 10 Pro launch with 65W as compared to 80W in other regions. Similarly, the OnePlus 10T was restricted to 125W but it was capable of supporting up to 150W in other markets.
Some other tipsters have claimed OnePlus 11 5G global variant will have the basic configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Its color options are said to be called Titanium Black and Eternal Green. We do not have information about the pricing yet but the way leaks have been surfacing, we should not have to wait to much longer.
