We are getting closer to the time when we get to see a Sony Android flagship release. It launched the Xperia 1 IV last year and as per rumors, the successor Xperia 1 V is around the corner for release. The leak is coming from well-known tipster OnLeaks in collaboration with online publication GreenSmartphones. There are a bunch of render images that give us an idea of the design.
The alleged Xperia 1 V is shown to have a design identical to the Xperia 1 IV. There are no noticeable differences in appearance and you can easily mistake it for the last year's smartphone. The triple rear camera module has the same design as the current-gen offering. It is said to measure 161.0 x 69.3 x 8.5 mm in dimensions and is relatively smaller in size.
The Xperia 1 IV is reportedly said to have a 6.5-inch flat display. The triple camera setup is said to offer a 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor. The front camera is said to be a 12-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and attending video calls.
The choice of processor could be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is the newest flagship chipset. There could be up to 16GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery. Other expected features are a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button.
