Vivo's Y-series has been refreshed with a new launch i.e. Vivo Y56 5G. It is a mid-range 5G smartphone meant for those who do not want to spend a lot on their next purchase. Some of the key highlights include a 2.5D back design, a bigger battery, improved low-light photography, and extended RAM capability.
The Vivo Y56 5G sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ (2408 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a dew-drop notch. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It is available in a couple of configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. It has virtual RAM expansion where up to 8GB of unutilized storage space can be used as RAM to get a cumulative RAM capacity of up to 16GB.
The dual-camera setup on the phone includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the phone has a 16-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies. It will run Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.
It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C. Vivo has priced the Vivo Y56 5G at INR 19,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. It will be sold in Black Engine and Orange Shimmer color options.
