Even though we do not hear Motorola's name that often during foldable conversations, it is one of the oldest OEMs to enter the segment. It has released three clamshell flip foldable phones under the Razr lineup so far but none of them proved to be a big success. It is now rumored to working on the fourth model but with a change that will surely make it stand apart among other options.
Tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks has shared a few renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr foldable. The overall design including the dual camera setup seems to be similar to what we have seen in the past from the company. The major difference is the huge cover display on the outside of the next-gen offering. It looks like the biggest cover display on any foldable smartphone out there.
The cover display can be seen covering the whole panel in renders. It even expands across the dual camera sensors which makes it look like a slab of glass. This larger display will surely allow Motorola to show more information and add extra features to make it more functional. One can see two navigation buttons at the bottom of the display in one of the renders.
A rumor last year claimed Motorola has two foldable smartphones under development in 2023. These are said to be codenamed Juno and Venus, the former being the one we saw in today's leaked renders. It will be the first time we will see the company release two foldable within the same year. It has opted for one foldable per year approach so far.
