Spotify revamp to bring TikTok-style home feed, Smart Shuffle, and more

09 March 2023 4

Spotify is preparing for a major revamp that will bring a number of new features. All of these changes are aimed at improving personalization and discovery functionalities. The announcement was made during the company's annual Stream On event, which talks about the app's future roadmap.

The home page will get a major redesign as Spotify has opted for a TikTok-styled scrolling feed. It is meant to give users an immersive experience while previewing new music, podcast, or audiobook. It will offer video previews wherever available and audio previews everywhere else. If a preview intrigues you, a simple tap will allow you to save and share that content. You can even go deeper and check more details about that particular artist, album, podcast, or audiobook. Podcasts can be resumed from the point where the preview ended.

While going through your discovery feed, you will also be able to look for related content with ease using hashtags. Spotify is bringing Autoplay for Podcasts where once an episode ends, it will automatically play another episode matching your taste. The app will also receive the new DJ feature that was introduced a couple of weeks ago.

Smart Shuffle is a new feature aimed to keep your personally curated and Liked Songs playlists fresh. When enabled, it will mix your personal playlists with recommended tracks. Each such track will have a sparkle icon next to it so that you can distinguish it from the songs added by you. Spotify says it will recommend one song per three tracks for playlists that have at least 15 tracks.

If you happen to love the recommended track, you can add it to the playlist with one tap. If it is not something that you enjoy, tap the minus button. The app will ensure that the track does not get recommended again. This particular feature is exclusive to Premium users but all other changes will be available for everyone.

A few months ago, my wife and I decided to invest in cryptocurrency from our retirement accounts, unknowingly to us that we are being swindled by a popular cryptocurrency platform BitstockerFx on Instagram and YouTube, we sent $280,000 worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum to their wallet address and they continue to request for more until we realize we were being swindled. I’m putting this out here to let everyone know about SPYWEB CYBER, a funds recovery company that came to our intervention and was able to retrieve our stolen funds. We were left amazed by the work of SPYWEB CYBER after we thought we have lost everything, SPYWEB was able to trace our bitcoins and Ethereum to the various wallet addresses and recovered everything in less than 72 hours. If you need their service for your cryptocurrency recovery and other hacking services. I highly recommend them to you.
