It is about to be a year since Asus launched the Zenfone 9 but if you were waiting for the successor, you will have to bit a little longer. An exclusive leak from Pricebaba citing information shared by a tipster has revealed the company's plans for the next-gen model Zenfone 10. The biggest change is obviously the delayed launch timeline as compared to the time when we saw the current-gen model launch.
The report says Asus will launch Zenfone 10 during the fourth quarter of the year. It means you will not see the new smartphone hit stores until October 2024. This puts the official launch at least half a year away. The rumored release timeline is for the global variant which means the company may decide to announce the phone for a specific market like China or India earlier.
The Zenfone 10 is said to bear the model number AI2302. It is claimed to come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a different approach from Zenfone 9 which arrived with a 5.9-inch display and was appreciated by tech enthusiasts for its compact size. The processor is said to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is a flagship offering. It will even have liquid cooling for heat dissipation.
There are said to be two configuration variants featuring 16GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. The battery is reportedly 5,000mAh with 67W fast charging speed. There will be a 200-megapixel primary camera sensor but we do not know the exact number of camera sensors. There will be an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and the phone will boot Android 13 out of the box.
