Pixel 8 Pro renders have leaked already, reveal major design changes

15 March 2023 4

Even though Google's immediate focus is on the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a launch, it does not mean the company is not working on the next-gen Android flagship. A new report from Smartprix in collaboration with tipster @OnLeaks has shared Pixel 8 Pro renders that give a good look at the phone's design. The overall design language is identical to the Pixel 7 Pro but there are some noticeable differences that will make it easier to distinguish between the two.

Starting from the front, Google has continued with the punch-hole design but has opted for a flat display on the Pixel 8 Pro. This is a shift from the curved display panel we currently get. This is something that will undoubtedly disappoint curved display fans. The reason behind the change is unknown for now. The display size is said to be about 6.52-inch which is relatively smaller than the 6.7-inch panel on the current-gen model.

The upcoming flagship can be seen with rounded corners instead of the edges Google offered last year. It means the phone will not have that boxy design this year. The rear camera visor is still here but all three camera sensors are now placed inside the oval shape and the LED flash is on the outside. There is a new sensor just below the flash but its exact functionality is unknown. It could be a macro/depth sensor or a completely different technology.

The report says Pixel 8 Pro will measure 162.6×76.5×8.7mm and will be 12mm thick including the rear camera bump. The USB Type-C port is at the bottom alongside the speakers. The SIM card tray slot is on the left side and the power button/volume rockers are on the right side. It will be powered by the new Tensor chipset which will again be developed by Samsung.

Other details about the Pixel 8 Pro specifications and features are missing for now. We can expect them to surface in future leaks and reports as we will get closer to the release. If we go by Google's history of releasing Pixel flagships, we should see the new phone launch sometime around August.

Hello everyone, I'm Penny Gordon and I was one of the victims of a fake investment platform, and unfortunately, I had already invested $704,000 worth of Bitcoins before I realize it was all a scam. I had reported them to the authorities but there was nothing the authorities could do to get back my money as everybody else thought Bitcoins were untraceable and cannot be recovered. I thought I had lost everything until my colleague at work told me about SPYWEB CYBER, a reputable fund recovery company. I contacted SPYWEB CYBER and provided all the required information, and to my surprise, SPYWEB CYBER was able to recover my money in 48 hours, a total of $702,000 was fully recovered back to my wallet. I’m super grateful to SPYWEB CYBER and I highly recommend their services to everyone out there.
