Fitbit Ionic smartwatch has received an update that brings more than 100 data-rich and interactive clock faces together with more than 60 apps from Fitbit, Fitbit labs, popular brands, and developers. Apart from these major additions, the smartwatch has also received some helpful enhancements.
Fitbit Ionic smartwatch is added with many third-party apps but to name some notable ones, these are The New York Times, Flipboard, Yelp, Philips Hue Lights, Nest, Clue, GAME GOLF, Uber, TripAdvisor, and Deezer.
Another Fitbit OS update unveils Fitbit Labs, which is an initiative within the Fitbit Research department dedicated to creating and testing potential Fitbit features. This would provide an early access to innovative and cutting-edge apps and clock faces designed to motivate you to make healthy behavior changes.
Some of the apps made by Fitbit users for Fitbit users allow you to customize the look and feel of your Ionic smartwatch and see at-a-glance information, like active minutes, heart rate, games goal progress, run cadence, sleep, or weather. The names of these apps are “Retro Sunset,” “Nothing Special,” “Big Weather,” and more.
The Fitbit OS update also brings some of the improvements in multi-card payment and also some enhancements that could make the interface faster.
The availability of the apps differ, some will be available in January and some will grace the Ionic smartwatch by the end of this year. A few are available right away, for instance, Yelp, which is accessible now. You can go to official Fitbit blog and know which app is arriving and when. All the apps and Watch Faces are free to download.
