OnePlus 6T gets OxygenOS 9.0.5 update improving screen unlock issue

08 November 2018 3

As OnePlus unveiled its flagship device OnePlus 6T, the tech world has been talking about it ever since may that be in the comparisons with other leading smartphones or interesting transparent back cover mods. OnePlus 6T faced an issue while when using a thumb with screen lock, it would make the device go crazy and for that reason, OnePlus rolled out an update for the phone. The OxygenOS 9.0.5 is sized at 100MB which brings two changes among which one is the expected ‘improvements for screen unlock’.

As it seems, there is no considerable change or improvement in the device’s performance when it comes to the experience after its installation. It works fine normally until exposed to the thumb of the other hand. Surprisingly the other thumb is also registered, and still, it makes the device go crazy. Though after using the same thumb couple of times, it gets working fine.

Other improvements are ‘general bug fixes and improvements’ which covers almost every upgrade the new version brings which is either too techy or quite minute to be discussed as a standalone item in the changelog. Currently, the update is being rolled out to all the OnePlus 6T devices and in case you happen to have one, you’ll get a notification for the update.

The OnePlus 6T isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
