Xiaomi recently introduced its low light photography mode dubbed as Night Scene Mode to its flagship phones Mi Mix 3, Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi Mix 2S recently. Later it also made its way to the youngest member in the family, the Redmi Note 7. Now Xiaomi’s VP and Co-Founder Chuan Wang has confirmed that the Mi 8 Lite will be the latest device to get this feature.
According to Wang, the team is working on porting the required feature to the Mi 8 Lite smartphone. Since the work is still in progress, we’re not really sure as to when the feature will be rolled out to the users, however, an OTA update could be soon on the way.
This feature, which helps in capturing detailed well-lit images even during extreme low light situations, has been very popular since Google first implemented it. Almost all the OEM have since implemented their own version of Night photography in their phones. Some OEM’s, like Xiaomi in this case, are also introducing it to their old generation devices as well as to the budget devices like the Redmi 7.

Rightly termed to be a popular update in the camera department. And brings some kind of delight to the photographers too, travelling for night shoots.
Great that Xiaomi is going to update the older gen phones too. But how deep are they going for this.
