Google Assistant gives suggestions in Messages 4.4, update rolled out to some

22 May 2019 1

Google has been working hard to make Google Messages (previously known as Andriod Messages) a better solution for messaging. Previously, Google Messages got an update where it would indicate when you’re logged into RCS. Last year, Google Messages got Google Assistant integration. Ever since Google Assistant was introduced, the Silicon Valley giant Google continues to bring new improvements to the app and this time it is more smartness was given to Google Assistant within Google Messages app.

Google is aiming to make Google Assistant a center point of all of its services linked together through the smartness of Assistant which was clearly presented on the latest Google I/O. Google Assistant’s Duplex technology was taken further allowing to make independent booking calls much effectively and shrunk Assistant's data models from 100GB to half a GB, which was quite remarkable.

Now, Google Assistant residing within Google Messages would help you with suggestions when you’re having a conversation. This update was seen by a Reddit user u/dirtyraat who shared that after updating the app to 4.4.070 he was shown with the message as to how Assistant would help within conversations through its suggestions.

The use case that Google Assistant gave its self, was that if you’re talking about hot pot restaurants around you, Assistant would give you suggests of such places around you. The feature is gradually rolling out to more Google Messages users. Have you received the update yet? Let us know in the comment section below.
