OnePlus 6/6T/7/7 Pro Android Q Developer Preview 4 brings some notable changes

OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7, and OnePlus 7 pro devices are receiving Android Q Developer Preview 4. Being a member of the Developer Preview program, you have the opportunity to test-drive Android Q as it evolves and movies towards the full release.

The new build brings many system functions improvements and the changelog also mentions a list of known issues that you may experience after the installation.

Some of the notable changes brought by the Android Q DP4 includes battery indicator in Quick Settings. It moves the battery percentage indicator to the left of the display next to the clock. It’s usually on the right. Digital Wellbeing is back and there are new Gesture Settings. You can now choose between the usual three-button navigation bar and gesture navigation.

OnePlus releases the Focus Tracking feature for anyone to use. It’s an available toggle in the OnePlus camera app. This allows for the camera to track people and pets and keeps them in focus. Furthermore, thanks to Android Q DP4, you can now select Zen Mode to be on for 20, 30, 40, or 60 minutes. Previously, it was just for 20 minutes but now you can choose to keep your phone useless for a longer period.

According to the changelog, below are the known issues –

  • Application compatibility problems
  • Low probability with stability issue
  • Low probability with lagging issue
  • Google Pay can’t work
  • The fingerprint will be cleared, you must set it manually
