Sony rolling out November 2018 security patch to Xperia XZ Premium

Google announced Android Pie update and got adopted by a lot of OEMs as the software was ready for its prime time, so was the case with Sony that announced the new update for smartphones under its branding. The last smartphone to get updated to Android Oreo was Sony Xperia XZ premium which is the oldest smartphone under Sony’s Xperia brand.

While Sony was quick to release the update, Sony Xperia XZ Premium didn’t offer the best results on the newly updated software (Android Pie) and underperformed as per the popular mobile benchmarking website Geekbench. Now in the latest development in this regard, Sony is rolling out another software update to Sony Xperia XZ Premium with build number 47.2.A.2.33 from the previously released version 47.2.A.0.306.

The update brings security patch for November and would also be coming to other smartphones from Sony with Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact to follow. Have you received the update yet? Let us know in the comment section below.
