Sony adds colour and new patterns to the second generation e-paper FES watches

07 January 2017 0

IFA 2016 witnessed the announcement of Sony e-paper watches. And now the company is back with the second-generation version of the device. CES 2017 is the stage they have chosen to reveal their new e-ink FES watch which packs several remarkable changes from their previous device. Just like the previous one, the second generation watches also use low-power e-paper technology.

Sony managed to eliminate almost all the drawbacks of the first version device. Which means the new device is not limited to just black and white patterns. As you can see in the images, new e-ink watches features colours as well as new patterns. Apart from that, Sony succeeded in making the device super thin compared to the previous version. It can change patterns as well as produce colours like leather brown, blue, and grey.

Sony has only developed the prototype of their new e-paper watch. Mass production of the device will begin soon and it will be available in the market for sale in the coming months. So, what you think about this upgraded version of FES e-ink watches. Share your opinion in the comment box.
