Have you been enjoying and making the most of your PlayStation 4? Did you buy into PlayStation Plus? The subscription which allows you to enjoy your favourite games online with friends and access to two hand-picked PS4 games. If that isn’t enough to draw you in, then maybe this will. PlayStation Plus users get exclusive discounts on games making the experience an affordable one. While all this is fine and dandy, Sony has been sending out E-mails mentioning that they would be increasing the subscription prices of PlayStation Plus in Europe. While this seems like a slap in the face for most PS4 users, others may have seen it coming.
Remember when Sony did the same last year in September in the U.S? Another similarity lies in Sony’s response to the matter. They haven’t yet offered any explanation and even when the prices were hiked in the U.S, all that was said in response to it was:
The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members.
From August 31st, 2017, in the U.K, the monthly cost is increasing from £6 to £7, quarterly price from £15 to £20, and the annual prices from £40 to £50. Everywhere else in Europe will be subjected to a revised and updated cost of €8 monthly, €25 quarterly, and €60 annually.
At the end of the day, users will still consider subscribing to and renewing their PlayStation Plus subscription given the many added benefits. What would you do if you were a PlayStation 4 user?
