The YouTube app is constantly being updated and one of the most sought-after features is perhaps what the company address as the dynamic video player. YouTube announced sometime last year that its app would be updated with a dynamic video player which would automatically adjust all video content to different aspect ratios. The updated YouTube app containing this new feature is available on both Android and iOS. The source comes from two tweets made on Twitter welcoming the feature to Android and iOS.
Bye bye, black bars. 👋

The dynamic video player on iOS will automatically adjust to the aspect ratio of the device. This means no more black bands as the video content will automatically adjust to fill up the screen. Black bands or unused space is a common occurrence when playing video in vertical mode. However, thanks to this feature, you no longer have to put up with it!

The good news keeps coming as the same feature is also available on Android. To use this feature on both operating systems, make sure that you’re using the latest version of the YouTube app. So, how does it work? Well, download it and give it a try! Dynamic, as the name suggests seems to be doing what is expected from it. Lovely!
The great thing is it's flexible and so no more black bars now :) :)
