WhatsApp is finally getting stickers and group video calls announced its parent company Facebook during its annual F8 developer conference.
WhatsApp director Mubarik Imam announced the upcoming feature but didn’t give many details about how group video calls will work. The company’s video showed that Whatsapp calls will allow four people to simultaneously participate.
WhatsApp will also support third-party stickers created by developers. Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed during his keynote that WhatsApp's Status feature is being used by over 450 million people globally. WhatsApp for Business which was recently introduced for business users already has 3 million users globally.
The company also stated that over 2 billion minutes of video and voice calls made on WhatsApp every day. The app is also expected to begin to charge large brands for additional perks that would help them reach more customers and make money.
"Voice and video calling are very popular on WhatsApp, and we’re excited to share that group calling will be coming in the months ahead. Stickers are also coming to WhatsApp soon," Facebook stated in a post.

What great figures - 2 billion minutes of video and voice calls on a daily basis!
This is the first time I'm reading about WhatsApp going to charge big brands for extra perks. So far the app has been free all over.
Both are very lucrative looking new features, group video calls, and third-party stickers.
Stickers are fast becoming an integral part of such messaging apps. And looks apt for an app like WhatsApp to have it.
