03 May 2018 2

Sometimes we want to capture the full-size screenshot of a web page for some work or to share it with someone. We may rely on some software or any utility that could offer us help in this task. But, I am telling you one way here with the help of which you can capture the full web page on Chrome without taking any external help.

Capturing the full-screen snapshot on the phones today isn’t difficult as the option to grab the full screen appears when you take a screenshot of anything. These are called extended screenshots on the phones. To capture anything on the Windows PC, you will require a software. It will capture the entire screen even if the page is going out of the window. If you want to capture any page or anything on the desktop then go to the second way described below as it requires software.

Grab the full-size screenshot of the web page on desktop.

But if you want to grab the full web page on the PC then you just need to follow a few simple steps to get the thing done.

The steps provided here are only for Chrome browser.

  • Open the site you want to take the full screenshot
  • Tap three vertical dots provided on the right corner of the browser
  • Look for More tools and place your cursor on it
  • Now select Developer Tools

(Alternatively, you can also press Ctrl+Shift+I in order to directly land on the Developer Tools)

  • Now select the option that says Toggle device toolbar (or Ctrl+Shift+M)

This will open the web page the same way as it opens up in a tablet or a phone

  • Now, on the webpage, you’ll see the three vertical dots, tap it

  • Select Capture full size screenshot.

You can also adjust the resolution to have a better capture

How to take scrolling screenshots on Windows PC

Here's a way that will let you capture anything on the screen and not just a web page. This is done by using a software called Snagit. You can capture the full page if it is going out of the window. The software will capture the entire page available on the PC screen no matter how long it's. This will later open a window from where you can save the screenshot or edit it before saving it.

Download the Snagit software
