Google’s rebranded Android Wear, Wear OS, is getting quite a bit of attention as the company had rolled out an update which brought a number of new improvements to its smartwatch platform. Some of the updates even improve interaction with Google Assistant. Smart suggestions which will soon be implemented will really be a game changer. Asking Google Assistant, a question will not only result in an appropriate response but will also suggest follow-up questions that are contextual to the conversation. In a way, it’s as if predicting the user’s next question.
The responses and replies given back to you by Google Assistant will be either through the watch speaker or Bluetooth headphones if you are using Bluetooth headphones. Previously any answer to your question was only displayed on the screen of the watch and not spoken aloud. This will definitely make things more convenient as when you ask a question by speaking, you expect a response in the same form.
Last but certainly not the least, the company has announced that all Wear OS watches will support third-party options with Google Assistant. So, what are these actions? These are little things backed into the Assistant by Google and developers like finding a photo in Google Photos, etc. Having better controls over voice commands make a voice assistant more fruitful and worth using. These are definitely major changes which Google is bringing to Watch OS and which should roll out in the next few days.
