OPPO Find X flagship smartphone set to launch soon

01 June 2018 3

Looks like OPPO is gearing up to make a reentry in the premium flagship segment. Their last flagship was OPPO Find 7 which was launched way back in 2014. Since then the company had been focusing mainly on mid-range and premium mid-range phone and now after almost 4 years, we have an official announcement of the next “Find” series phone.

The Chinese smartphone company today took on to Chinese social media Weibo and Twitter and that the next smartphone in the Find series will be coming soon. Interestingly, this was posted on OPPO India's Twitter handle, which suggests that India may be the first few countries where the phone will be launched. This phone will be called Find X, a name that OPPO had recently got registered as a trademark.

There were a couple of leaks, which suggested that the Find X may come with a notch display with an OLED panel and a triple rear camera setup like the Huawei P20 Pro.

In terms of specifications of OPPO Find X, nothing much is known at the moment. It is said to come with an in-display fingerprint technology that OPPO recently got a patent for. The OPPO Find X may have 5G connectivity, may feature 5X optical zoom, OPPOs Super VOOC charging that can charge the phone's battery in 15 minutes flat and may have a 3D face recognition technology like iPhone X or Mi 8 Explorers edition.
