20 June 2018 3

Xiaomi has just announced that Mi Pad 4 would be launched on 25th June in China. The company took on to Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo to announce the news which was later shared on Twitter and Facebook by other top executives.

Unlike a lot of other yet-to-be-launched Xiaomi devices, Mi Pad 4 has not been in news and not much is knows about the upcoming Tablet from Xiaomi. The successor to Mi Pad 3 is speculated to carry a 7.9-inches LCD display with full HD resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. There are unconfirmed reports hinting that Mi Pad 4 may be one of the first few tabs with 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Going by the teaser image, the tablet is going to carry a single rear camera. It is said to house a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13855 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel Samsung S5K5E8 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, primarily for video calling. It is being speculated that the Mi Pad 4 may have a 6000 mAh battery and will run on Android 8 Oreo-based MIUI ROM.

Since not much information is available about the RAM or internal storage, we will have to wait till the launch date when Xiaomi is also launching Redmi 6 Pro in China.

I entirely agree with the statement that the Mi Pad 4 hasn't been much in news as compared to other Xiaomi devices which generally get so much attention.
