Xiaomi Mi 8 to launch in Europe in August

21 June 2018 3

During the launch, Xiaomi had hinted that the Mi 8 could be sold outside China as well. While the phone has been a sell out in China during multiple flash sales, it has made its way to France and Russia already.

Reports now suggest that the Mi 8 will be launched in Europe in August. There are rumors that Xiaomi will only introduce the 6GB RAM variant of Mi 8. It is said that Xiaomi will launch MI 8 with 64GB and 128GB internal storage options. The 8GB RAM variant may be introduced if there is enough demand of the device.

The European pricing of the Mi 8 is not yet announced however if we roughly convert the prices at which Mi 8 retails in China we get the pricing as 64GB variant around EUROS 356 ($420) and the 128GB variant around EURO 400 ($460).

If there's enough demand then Xiaomi will introduce the 8GB RAM version too. Ok. But if Xiaomi is limiting the device to only a few markets it gives an impression that they have lesser in interest in the markets around.
