Samsung has launched its first Android Go phone – Galaxy J2 Core. Android Go is a stripped down version of Android that has been optimized to run on the smartphones with low-end hardware. Now, the Galaxy J2 Core follows the same scenario and has been built for the budget confined users. It bears low-end specifications but doesn’t compromise on the performance.
The all-new Samsung Galaxy J2 Core features a 5-inch TFT display with 540x960 pixels resolution. It is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7570 processor and coupled with 1GB RAM. It consists of 8GB RAM that can be expanded further. Being an Android Oreo (Go Edition) phone, the Galaxy J2 Core includes fewer apps that use less memory and storage. According to Samsung, this offers up to 1.5 times the available storage capacity compared to previous offerings.
Another feature that Samsung is touting is the battery life that the users are going to enjoy. It has 2,600mAH battery for long-lasting power. Furthermore, Galaxy J2 Core comes with Samsung’s iconic Ultra Data Saving feature that takes a good hold on the mobile data. Thus the users can stream and watch their favorite content online without worrying about exceeding their data limit.
The Galaxy J2 Core comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera with flash and 5MP camera on the front. Both of these cameras support the f/2.2 aperture for an improved wide-angle photography. It also features the Beauty Mode for better portraits and selfie shots.
