Huawei Mate 20 did attend IFA but in full secrecy

01 September 2018 0

While it's official that Huawei Mate 20 with Kirin 980 SoC will launch on October 16th, other details of the same are still under a good sheath. Huawei at the IFA event didn't disclose the specifics of the device and left us to rely on what rumors are throwing at us. Based on the speculations, there are several renders of the same available today. A supposedly leaked image of the Mate 20 surfaced last month and gave us a clear look at the design.

The leaked render showed how the cameras on the back have been aligned this time. Multiple cameras on the back are aligned in a squarish form factor. According to rumors, the Huawei Mate 20 is featuring a triple lens camera that was first featured on the P20 Pro.

Now, surprisingly, this device seems to have given its attendance at the IFA event but in a very secret way. Someone has been caught at IFA with the alleged Huawei Mate 20 in his hand. However, looking at the images, one can clearly tell that the phone has been posed purposefully, which means this isn’t necessarily a wild spotting. Well, keeping this detail aside, the unusual placement of the back cameras clearly reflects it to be the Huawei Mate 20.

Also, a couple of images reveal the bottom of the device that shows the USB Type-C connector clearly. The front side of the device is covered by the case so we can't comment on the same, but rumors have said it's going to have a waterdrop notch on the display.

Well, said launch date of the Huawei Mate 20 isn’t too far and there’s still more to get about the same. The newly-launched HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor is expected to bring an immense power to the device. The processor includes dual NPU that will do specific AI tasks at a better speed than before. There’s more to explain and to be seen. So, let’s just wait and curb your curiosity.
