It has been some time that Nokia has launched a new smartphone especially since it launched a few earlier this year. Though these phones have been mainly mid-budget devices, a flagship smartphone is still due. It seems that the launch of this flagship device could be around the corner as a new Nokia smartphone has just been certified by China’s 3C certification agency.
This new unknown device from Nokia has been listed on 3C agency as TA-1131 could well be rumored flagship Nokia 9. The certification listing does not reveal much technical information apart from the fact that it supports 5V/3A, 9V/2A, and 12V/1.5A charging speeds, indicating that this device will support fast charge. However, most Nokia phones support fast charge 3.0, to say the least.
Like the previous phones from Nokia, this new device may be initially launched in China before making its way out to overseas markets. The last premium segment smartphone from Nokia was the Nokia 8 Sirocco however since it carried last years’ specifications it cannot be called a true 2018 flagship.
Going by the previous rumors, Nokia was slated to launch either Nokia 8 Pro or Nokia 9 in the second half of the year. The new phone is expected to come with 6.1-inches AMOLED display panel with Quad HD+ screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels, a Snapdragon 845 SoC 8 GB RAM and built-in native storage of 256GB. It is rumored to come with a triple camera setup at the back.
However, we can’t guarantee any of the above specifications at this moment since these are all unconfirmed reports. We may soon get more information about this new Nokia device as once any device appears on 3C agency it soon makes its way to other agencies like TENAA and other, where more information will be available.
