Nokia as released what probably the last beta update of Android 9 Pie for Nokia 7 Plus before the stable version is released. The new OTA update for the users who’ve signed up as beta testers is roughly 1.5GB in size and carries some important features like new system navigation, revamped settings menu and notification management.
The changelog suggests that the OTA update brings in September security patch, App slices, and most importantly AI-powered Adaptive brightness and Adaptive Battery features which will surely help in increasing the battery life. In case the not too many bugs reported, users can expect a stable update pretty soon, as promised earlier.
For the users who are still not yet enrolled as beta testers and still wants to taste the deliciousness of Android 9 Pie can visit this link and register as a beta tester. However, do keep in mind that downloading Android 9 Pie may format the storage and you may lose the data stored on the device. So make sure you take a proper data backup before doing so.
To recall, the Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixel) IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB of Internal storage with no support for microSD card expansion. It features 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup with 2x optical zoom and portrait mode support. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera with support for face unlocking. The device is powered by a 3800mAh battery and it also features a fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port.
