Huawei Maimang 7 powered by Kirin 710 SoC launched in China

Huawei has announced a new mid-range Android smartphone back home in China. The Huawei Maimang 7 went official earlier as Huawei Mate 20 Lite and was later announced in the UK during IFA 2018.

The phone comes powered by a Kirin 710 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. It houses a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) TFT LCD panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a notch.

In terms of optics, it has a quad camera setup with two cameras both at the rear and front. The dual rear camera on the back is vertically aligned and comes with a 20-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Moving on to the front, the phone houses 24-megapixel primary and a depth-sensing 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The phone comes with a face unlock feature.

The phone boasts AI features like AI Shopping Assistant, AI noise cancellation, AI smart gallery, and more. It comes with 3,750mAH battery and supports 9V/2A (18W) charging capabilities. The Huawei Maimang 7 runs on EMUI 8.2 skin on top of Android 8 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The phone comes with GPU turbo technology to enhance gaming performance. In terms of connectivity, the device includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.

The Huawei Maiming 7 is available in Black, Blue, and Gold color variants. It is priced at CNY 2399 or USD 349 and is currently available for pre-order and will start retailing in China from 15th September.

At USD349, it's crossing the Rs. 25K mark. But I'm curious to see what the final MRP will be in India considering the free fall of the Indian rupee for the last few days.
