Galaxy S10 may include 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch variants

13 September 2018 4

The fresh rumor on the Galaxy S10 reveals that the device could include three variants that will primarily be different from each other in terms of size, just like Apple’s latest iPhones.

According to TechnoBuffalo’s sources, the Galaxy S10 will come in three sizes - 5.8 inches, 6.1-inch, and 6.4 inches. For comparison, the iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch screen, the iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone XS Max has 6.5 inches. So, more or less, it looks to be similar to what Apple just launched. Well, we can’t comment if Samsung is copying Apple because no one knows what’s going on internally. But, a report on Galaxy S10 variants after Apple’s iPhone 2018 event drifts us towards this assumption.

The report further says that the smallest is going to be the cheapest, with the middle 6.1-inch Galaxy S10 as the “main” model. However, all the variants of the Galaxy S10 will have dual rear cameras, compared to Apple’s iPhone XR that has only a single rear camera. According to the report, the Galaxy S10 variants will have a 12MP wide-angle camera paired with a 16MP super wide-angle sensor. The larger that could be “Galaxy S10 Plus” may have a third camera with 13MP telephoto lens.

The Galaxy S10 is an independent flagship, it's understandable to have variants for that phone. But Apple's new iPhones aren't variants of any such flagship. The "iPhone X" is a common term there, but the flagship is now discontinued.
