Nokia 5.1 Plus price and availability in India could be announced soon

19 September 2018 2

The Nokia 5.1 Plus was unveiled recently in India along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus. However, the price and availability were not announced during the event. It seems that Nokia India is now gearing up to announce its availability.

The company shared a teaser yesterday evening on Twitter saying "Stay tuned for a phone you can #GameOn" hinting towards the much awaited Nokia 5.1 Plus.

The phone when announced was supposed to start retailing in September, this tweet now indicates that it may happen anytime soon.

In terms of design, the Nokia 5.1 Plus looks quite similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus apart from the fact that the 5.1 Plus has a slightly bigger notch. This bigger notch, however, does not have any feature add-ons compared to the one on the 6.1 Plus.

The phone comes with a 5.8-inch with HD resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a Helio P60 processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a dual camera set up at the back with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor along with a 24-megapixel selfie shooter at the front.

It comes with a 3,060 mAh battery and sports a dual hybrid SIM slot, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Though HMD Global has not announced the pricing of the device yet, however it the pricing of Nokia 5.1 Plus is set around the Rs. 10,000 mark then it has a serious chance of doing well against the likes of Redmi and Realme phones.
