Google Pixel 3 XL leak reveals mint-coloured power button

22 September 2018 3

The Google Pixel 3 XL has been making the headlines in tech news for quite a while now. The device is not new to leaks and rumours, having already made an appearance as a hands-on image and then even being listed on a Chinese online store for pre-order. It seems like leaks keep on flooding in as we have a new leak regarding the Pixel 3 XL. A 15-year old techie named Ishan Agarwal, took to Twitter to post new leaked images of what appears to be the Google Pixel 3 XL.

Ishan claims that the source and his supply of images came from a person who supposedly has the device in hand. He further claims that the back of the device is frosted glass and that the sides feel like they are made of plastic. However, there’s a good chance that the sides are plastic, but the painting makes it deceiving.

What’s more interesting though is the image which shows off the side of the phone, with a mint-coloured button. This is definitely the power button and the colour is perhaps to help differentiate it. It’s not really unusual of Google to do something like this considering the orange coloured power button it slapped on the so-called “Panda” edition of the Google Pixel 2 XL.

Apart from this, Ishan was also able to acquire a few screenshots of the device, revealing some of its other features. Going by this leak, the device will have a 12MP rear camera with support for 4K videos at 30fps while the front camera will have an 8MP sensor. There also appears to be a slight change made to the camera UI. However, this is quite expected. While this all seems extremely convincing, it should be taken with a grain of salt! Have a look at some more images of the Google Pixel 3 XL.
