UPDATE (October 22nd, 2018):
The Honor Magic 2 has now appeared in a new leak offering a clear look at the device from the front as well as the back panel. It shows a bezel-less viewing experience on the display with a pop-up selfie camera mechanism. It also shows an animation on the display appears to be that of the YoYo digital assistant from Huawei. As for the back, there seems to be a glass back panel which makes it look premium.

The Honor Magic 2 is confirmed to be announced on October 31st and if the latest teaser from the company is to be believed, a smartwatch will also be unveiled on the same day. The Honor Magic 2 is expected to come with a slide-out design and it may bear multiple cameras as well. A recently alleged teaser also gave us a look at the sliding mechanism that how it’s going to open the cameras for photography.
Now, the Honor Magic 2 is certified by TENAA in China and the listing reveals the complete specifications. According to the certification, the Honor Magic 2 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with ultra narrow bezels. It will be powered by Kirin 980 SoC with up to 8GB RAM, Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0. It’s going to have a 16MP primary camera and a 24MP secondary camera and a 16MP camera which could be a telephoto lens.
On the front, the device will hold a 16MP camera along with two TOF lens for the 3D face unlock. The fingerprint scanner can’t be seen and we can’t comment if it’s going to hold an in-display fingerprint scanner. It already confirmed 40W safe super fast charge with 15 layers of safety protection.
So much is now revealed about the device and looks like we are left with only the formal introduction of the same. So, let’s wait for the October 31st event and see what else Honor has to offer with the Magic 2 device. Stay tuned!
