Earlier today, Qualcomm announced it’s a new brand new SoC the Snapdragon 675. This new SoC is a successor to the Qualcomm 670, launched a couple of months back and is made for mid-range devices. Like other processors from Qualcomm, even this one borrows features from the flagship processors.
Xiaomi’s Vice President and Managing Director, Manu Jain announced that the company will launch a Snapdragon 675 powered smartphone next year. Since he did not share any more details, we will have to wait till next year to hear more about the said device and its official announcement.

The Snapdragon 675 being interesting elements to the core as it offers support for up to three rear cameras and three front-facing cameras. These cameras support features such as telephoto, wide angle, and super-wide image capture, enhanced portrait mode (Bokeh) as well as, 3D face unlock.
The processor will support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+, X12 LTE modem with 600Mbps download speeds and 3x carrier acceleration, limitless slow motion video, and Bluetooth 5.0. Qualcomm also announced that the SoC is already available for testing and the first commercial device could hit the market by the first quarter of 2019.
