The launch of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was one of the most-anticipated launches. A number of leaks had surfaced regarding the device until it finally went official in China a few months back. When the device launched, it launched with MIUI 9.5, based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone in China is now receiving a new software update. The update upgrades the device to MIUI 10 V8.12.26 beta and is based on Android 9.0 Pie. Do bear in mind that this is a beta build and not the final stable build.
The MIUI 10 beta is finally out for the Mi Max 3 smartphones in China. Users who wanted this beta update has opted for it in October. Since the beta update is currently rolling out, there’s a good chance that the final stable build isn’t too far behind. As expected, the update doesn’t only bring with it an upgrade to Android Pie but also contains a ton of new features. In addition to this, the update brings a few bug fixes, system improvements and a major overhaul to the Mi Max 3 smartphone. In a way, this software update has instilled new life into the device!
To get the latest beta build, make sure to update to the latest OTA update. Also, uninstall the Google Play app before proceeding with the installation of the beta build. Make sure to follow these instructions otherwise you may end up with a dreaded bootloop!
