Amazon providing free machine learning courses for developers

28 November 2018 4

Amazon is looking far beyond just selling products online. The company is looking to improve the developers of today by educating them in machine learning. The company has made these courses available through AWS. In fact, these courses are the very same ones which Amazon’s own engineers undergo. These courses are being offered as a part of the AWS Training and Certification Machine Learning program. The highlight of this is that the courses are being made available for free.

Amazon claims that these machine learning courses are self-paced and self-service. In simple terms, the learning content is available digitally and consists of over 45-hours of coursework, labs and videos which are designed to impart the required knowledge and skills. The courses are specifically designed to target data platform engineers, developers, data scientists, and business professionals. The courses begin with fundamental concepts and then grow in increasing difficulty. Some of this even involves real-world problems and first-hand situations which Amazon had to deal with.

The course even help students get started with different AWS machine learning course, including Lex, Polly, Rekognition, and SageMaker. While the courses in themselves are free, students would only have to pay if they want to use labs and appear for examinations.
