Meizu 16 with Snapdragon 845 launching in India on December 5th

30 November 2018 3

The Meizu 16 flagship smartphone was officially launched in China in August this year. The smartphone is an extremely popular one and was completely sold out during its first online sale in China. However, this was quite expected as the device had attracted over one-million pre-bookings before its launch. Well, the Meizu 16 smartphone is finally on its way to India. That’s right, the Meizu 16 will be launched in India on December 5th.

A teaser has been released on the company’s official Twitter handle, confirming the launch date of the Meizu 16 in India. Unfortunately, it’s bigger brother, The Meizu 16X still hasn’t arrived to the Indian market. The Meizu 16 is a very capable potential thanks to its octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC. The chipset also consists of an Adreno 630 GPU. The device is available in two memory and storage configurations of 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage or 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the Meizu 16 smartphone is equipped with dual-rear camera setup of 12MP + 20MP and a front-facing selfie shooter of 20MP. The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone supports mCharge fast charging and is juiced by a 3,010mAh battery.

The Meizu 16 smartphone launched in China at a price tag of 2698 Yuan (approximately INR 27,130). It’s unclear as to whether or not the smartphone will launch in India at the same price. However, if it does, it will face stiff competition from the POCO F1 smartphone.
