Google’s Santa Tracker 2018 is back with new updates

Google Santa Tracker is back again this year. This year will be the fifteenth Google Santa Tracker event and gives Google.com visitors an idea of where Santa Claus is during his annual trip around the world.

Users can access the Google Santa Tracker through Google Maps and comes with new features. Santa will share his location across the globe in the days leading up to Christmas.

The company has also added an Elf maker that lets you create and share a custom elf. Starting from December 23, users will be able to ask Google Assistant about Kris Kringle’s whereabouts. Simply state “Hey Google, where’s Santa?” and Google Assistant will give you the latest info.

Apart from that Google’s Santa’s Village also brings some fun games and activities leading up to Christmas. The tracker also has an interactive activity where you can learn how to says Holiday phrases like “Season’s Greetings” and “Happy New Year” in different languages. Google has also added a new Gboard sticker pack in the update.

“In the village, you can practice basic coding skills, create original artwork, exercise your geographic chops, and learn more about charitable organizations like Khan Academy and Code.org,” according to Google. “Teachers can even download lesson plans with video guides to help teach their students fundamental coding skills and holiday traditions in English, Spanish, French, Japanese and Korean.”

The updated version of the Santa Tracker app is rolling out now via the Google Play Store. So head there and enjoy the colorful village and games!
