Huawei P30 Pro to sport curved display with a notch and 38MP Sony IMX607 sensor | Report

14 December 2018 2

We are still a few days away from stepping into the New Year but some early insights of 2019 have already started to come. One such example is Huawei P30 series that could debut in March of the coming year. Well, the company’s CEO has already confirmed the Huawei P30 to come in next year with a better profile than the Huawei Mate 20, which is an obvious thing, though, and now we are getting some early details of the Pro version of the Huawei P30, courtesy of the tipster, Ice Universe on Twitter.

While tweeting on a concept image of the Huawei P30 Pro made by Ben Geskin, Ice Universe refuted rumors of the device featuring a display notch and rather claimed that the device continues to have a notch. It could just be a waterdrop-style notch, something which is still in the trend at least before that display hole one.

Also, it will use a curved OLED display panel that could be manufactured by China’s BOE or South Korea’s LG Display. The tipster also claimed that the display hole is so far exclusive to Samsung, so, Huawei P30 may take some time in featuring the same.

No other details on the Huawei P30 Pro have surfaced yet. But, it’s speculated to come with a 38MP Sony IMX607 image sensor. It’s worth noting here that the predecessor, P20 Pro spotted an IMX600 sensor. This image sensor is reported to have some optimizations for night shots. The new sensor is also found to have Exmor RS technology and a built-in high-SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) to deliver vivid colors with low noise. Else is yet to be known, so stay tuned.

The Huawei P30 Pro isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
