Earlier in the day, we saw the leaked Huawei P30 and P30 Pro’s screen protectors revealing the fact that the phones may house a notched display. Now a new leak reveals the design of the upcoming flagship phones from Huawei.

The leak suggests that the Huawei P30 may resemble last year’s flagship P20 Pro with a vertically aligned triple camera setup at the back placed in a unique exclamation mark design. This design was later picked up by almost all other Android brands.

Moving on to the upcoming P30 Pro, the leaked cases reveal a new design. If this leak is true then the P30 Pro may again have a triple rear camera setup, however, not in an exclamation mark design. It also shows a large Xenon flash module placed beside the camera setup.

Other key takeaways are the missing rear fingerprint sensor and the missing 3.5mm audio jack while the phone may have an infrared sensor placed at the top as suggested by the leaked design.

Huawei has manufactured some of the best smartphones in 2018. However, it seems like the company is working on something even bigger for 2019. Huawei is working on its P30 Pro smartphone which is expected to launch in April next year. Just a few days ago, a report revealed the possibility of the smartphone featuring a notch and a 38MP Sony IMX607 sensor. A leak of the screen protector for the Huawei 30 Pro has surfaced online and reveals a waterdrop style notch.

Courtesy of Slashleaks, we have an image of what appears to be the screen protector of the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone. The presence of a cutout at the top of the screen protector suggests that the phone will have a notch. This is a characteristic 2018 feature. However, considering that the device is to launch in 2019, a notch will signal old tech. Most smartphone manufacturers are trying to replace the notch with an embedded front-facing camera and other sensors.

Samsung and Apple are both working on screen cutouts on OLED displays which are to house the front-facing camera and necessary sensors. This is something which Huawei should have considered doing with its Huawei P30 Pro. Well, take this with a grain of salt since all this speculation is based on a leaked image of a screen protector for the smartphone!
