Google has introduced a new web app called Google Canvas. The name of the web-based app pretty much reveals its function. The tool allows you to draw and sketch directly within a browser. The web app has a straightforward and simplistic interface. It’s an extremely user-friendly tool which consists of most basic features. The tool consists of a canvas and a toolbar with a few options located at the left of the screen. The best about it is that the app is free to use!
While there are plenty of apps like this on the mobile platform, there is a dearth of them when it comes to desktops. This app can easily be accessed through Google’s own web browser by visiting “canvas.apps.chrome”. Users will be prompted to log in as the app saves and backups your work. The app can be used for note-taking, drawing and doodling. The app is simple to use and offers users with the option of using a pen, pencil, marker, charcoal, and an eraser.
The great thing about this is that the drawings can be easily exported and saved as a PNG image. Users can also import, select and open an image in the canvas. The web tool works well, both with a mouse and a stylus.
